Welcome to A.M.Xavier

A.M.Xavier is an Australian based company with a keen interest in designing and providing high quality knives for the outdoors enthusiast. We source the highest quality components to assemble a knife that is both rugged and durable. Our products are used and tested here in Australia to ensure they meet our standards and requirements.

Taking high carbon steel to the next level

A.M.Xavier has launched the first of its three premium fixed blade sports knife designs specifically created for lovers of the Australian outdoors lifestyle, the Outdoorsman.

The goal of the Outdoorsman’s design was to produce both a strong and simple knife using superior high carbon AUS-10 stainless steel and modern, highly durable G-10 handle scales.

“The choice of a high carbon stainless steel was to provide the owner, a knife with improved wear resistance and toughness when compared to other carbon steels, while still providing great edge retention and ease of sharpening.

By spending less time maintaining your knife, you can spend more time enjoying your adventure,” said owner Adrian Xavier.

Intriguing design & build quality, a good companion in the wild, Thank You!

About...

Adrian Xavier,

Owner

I received my first knife when I was 4 years old. It was purchased for me by my Nana at the Summit General Store in Stanthorpe, QLD, Australia. I was taught by the guys on the farm that this was a tool and not a toy, and was shown how to maintain it and use it correctly. This pocket knife rarely left my side for the next 10 years or so and while I still have it some 40+ years later, as my outdoor adventuring became more diverse, I ultimately required the need for a fixed blade knife to accomplish the sort of tasks that a pocket knife was no longer suitable for.

Over the years I have purchased, used (and broken) many different styles of knife and have found through experience what does and does not work. I've also come to realise that the holy grail of "one knife for every situation" is simply not true. But that's not such a bad thing for a knife enthusiast is it?

Quality overseas knives are very highly priced for the Australian market. Because of this, most production knives sold here in Australia are either of poor quality, or they do not meet all of the customer’s requirements.

My aim is to design knives using the highest quality materials possible from Australia and around the world and provide a superior product at a more reasonable price for my customers.
